In this video, I am going to show you a technique that was primarily used in historical documentaries where video clips were just not available. This technique is called the Ken Burns Effect. The purpose of this technique is to give life to still images or photographs by zooming in and out on subjects of interest and panning from one subject to another. In other words, with this technique, you’ll be animating your still image or adding motion to your still images or photos.
For example, in a photograph with a bunch of people, you can slowly pan across the faces. This technique is often used in heirloom videos, wedding videos, etc.
This zooming and panning across photographs will give a feeling of motion, and keep viewer entertained.
Lets take a look in this video how you can add motion or animate your still images or photos: Watch video here.
